ROSANA / CRITICAL SOURCING

Transformer and grid equipment sourcing

Connecting a new facility to the grid or expanding existing capacity requires the right equipment for the project. Rosana assesses sourcing for transformers, switchgear and connection equipment against the technical specification, alongside lead times and shipping terms.

Products considered

Power connections, capacity expansion and grid continuity.

The products below define the scope of enquiries we assess; they are not a current stock list. Their inclusion does not imply that every product is scarce in every region.

  • Large power transformers
  • Oil-filled and dry-type distribution transformers
  • Medium-voltage switchgear panels
  • High- and medium-voltage circuit breakers
  • Protection relays and control panels
  • Power cables, jointing and termination kits
  • Transformer bushings and tap changer parts
  • Energy metering and power quality instruments

Before purchasing

The project specification sets the requirements

In addition to power and voltage ratings, specify the vector group, cooling type, site conditions and required tests. Two transformers with the same power rating may not be directly interchangeable.

Delivery scope

Manufacturing, testing, transport and site delivery are separate stages. Dimensions, weight, accessories and the point of acceptance are clarified so that quotations can be compared on the same basis.

Include in your enquiry

Information for your sourcing request

  • Power rating, voltages, frequency and vector group
  • Technical specification, drawings and test requirements
  • Site conditions, dimensions and transport constraints
  • Quantity, delivery point and project schedule

Buyer questions

Can stock transformers and project-specific production be explored together?

Yes. Both options can be assessed if the accepted technical tolerances are specified. A product reported as being in stock must still be checked for project compatibility and its actual delivery date.

Are installation and commissioning included?

Equipment supply does not automatically include these services. If installation, site testing or plant construction work is required, it should be defined as a separate scope, with responsibilities clarified at the quotation stage.

We make no firm stock, price or delivery commitments until availability, product authenticity, origin, quality documentation and delivery terms have been verified. Supply is subject to applicable trade rules, required authorisations and an assessment of end use.
